In a shocking move to the YCP troops, Guntur YCP MLA Musthafa’s brother, Kanuma’s house is being raided by the Income Tax Department officials.
Kanuma is said to be the man who looks after the business operations of Musthafa and his house is now being searched upon by the IT sleuths.
The fact that a property belonging to the ruling party MLA’s relative is being raised by the IT officials has become a talking point in Andhra Pradesh political circles.
Musthafa had won as an MLA two times – 2014 and 2019. But he announced that he wouldn’t be contesting in the next election and revealed that his daughter will be contesting in the same.
The MLA or his family hasn’t issued a public statement on the IT raids yet.
On a related note, it is known that another YCP bigwig Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy’s son, Magunta Raghava Reddy was arrested by the CBI in connection with the Delhi Liquor scam.
