In the Run up to 2019, KCR to Offer yet Another Pay HikeTelangana Government has hiked the pay of its staff on June 2, 2014, when the state was formed. This was on the basis of the recommendations of the 10th Pay Revision. Now another hike is likely mostly in the months running up to the 2019 elections.

The Chief Minister is all set to constitute the 11th Pay Revision Commission. The PRC will be constituted in a month or two to enable the commission to make recommendations by February 2018 so that the new pay scales could be implemented from April 1, 2018.

A total of 3.5 lakh employees and 2 lakh pensioners would benefit from the new pay commission recommendations. But then this election gimmick will have a huge burden on the state exchequer which is already heading towards the Red Zone.
