If So, Tollywood Folks Can Run Kirana Stores: Kodali NaniA day after Dil Raju has appealed to Tollywood people not to respond or tweet about the ticket prices issue, AP Minister Kodali Nani took a jibe against hero Nani. During the Pre-release pressmeet of Shyam Singha Roy, Nani said it is harsh if a Kirana Store besides a theater is making more many than the theater owner.

“If Kirana stores are making more money, why not film people invest their money in Kirana Stores? The government did not decrease the ticket prices. Earlier filmmakers used to get court orders to increase prices. We avoided such scenarios by bringing in a new G.O.,” the minister said.

Meanwhile, The state government has taken a key decision on the issue of movie tickets in AP. The Government has appointed a new committee to look into ticket prices. Orders have been issued to this effect. The committee will be chaired by Home Secretary Vishwajit.

Its members include the Chief Secretaries of Revenue, Finance, and Municipal departments, the Commissioner of Information, the Secretary to the Judiciary, Krishna District JC, as well as representatives of theater owners, distributors, and the Cine Goers’ Association.

The committee will determine the ticket prices along with the classification of theaters. The committee will then submit a report to the government.
