I-PacErstwhile Prakasam district gave three seats to Telugu Desam Party when there is a wave in favor of Jagan across the state in the 2019 elections. The party has grown well in the district and is looking confidently to win majority seats here in 2024.

At the same time, the district leadership is ridden with Group politics completely. Senior most leader Balineni Srinivasa Reddy himself revolting against the party’s high command is an indication of how things are bad.

Almost in every constituency, there is severe anti-incumbency and differences between the leaders.

At this juncture, the Chief Minister deployed I-PAC teams to study what is happening in the district. The CM wants to do some damage control on the district before it turns into another Nellore district.

I-PAC members and Intelligence staff are meeting the second-rung leaders and the cadre of the party to understand what is going wrong in the district. They are also collecting input about what people are thinking about the party.

All these inputs will be collected and segregated into a detailed report and will be forwarded to the Chief Minister.

We will have to see if Jagan can address things and iron out all the issues between the leaders. The CM already personally spoke to Balineni trying to pacify him but there is little to no effect on the Senior leader.
