The scarcity of the Testing Kits has become a big detriment to the war against the Coronavirus. Two Indian-Americans claimed to have come up with a solution to this problem. They developed an AI-powered advanced diagnostic system that will help in quick detection of COVID-19.
Hyderabad’s Srikanth Kodeboyina and Chennai’s Barath Narayanan developed software that searches for markings on X-rays which will indicate the presence of COVID-9. They claim that the system will identify the virus in 20 seconds and with 96% accuracy.
They have applied for FDA approval. Srikanth is president and CEO of Blue Eye Soft, a Greenville SC based IT software solutions company, while Barath is a research scientist at the University of Dayton Research Institute and Adjunct faculty at the University of Dayton.
At the time of writing this article, there are 16,01,018 cases across the globe. There are already 95,718 deaths. There are 4,69,021 cases only in the United States which has become the epicenter of contagious virus infections.
