Task Force sleuths of Hyderabad have taken two fraudsters in to their custody for allegedly duping e-tailers Flipkart and Amazon by returning their product parcels filled with sand. The youngsters are Yahiya Mohammad Ishaque, 19, a psychology student, and his brother-in-law Md Shahroz Ansari, 24, a BBA final year student from Golconda.
They used to place orders on Flipkart and Amazon for electronic items like laptop, camera and cell phone. When the delivery boys attempt the delivery of those products, one of them used to stay put with the delivery boy outside the house while the other take the package inside and replace the product with sand of same weight.
Then they would give the delivery agent debit card, which is no more in use. When the transaction fails, they would return the product parcel containing sand to the executive. Up on the complaint from the aggrieved e-marketing firms, Task Force sleuths kept a watch on the activity of the two and caught them.
