After two and a half years of wait, Cricket lovers in Hyderabad will get to see live cricket in the city.
Hyderabad’s Uppal Stadium is likely to host the third T20 match between India and Australia which will happen on September 25th.
Hyderabad last hosted a T20 with the West Indies in December 2019. The first two matches of the Australia series will be hosted in Mohali and Nagpur.
The T20 World Cup will happen in Australia from October 16th and so, the BCCI is hosting as many T20 matches as possible for Team India to get practice.
Team India also will play three T20 matches with South Africa before the World Cup.
Team India has won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 under Mahindra Singh Dhoni’s leadership. Since then, it has gone to the Finals only once (in 2014).
The BCCI has taken the tournament seriously this time.
