About 78% of voters in Telangana turned out to vote for the first time after the separate statehood is achieved. Election Commission is allowing all the voters in queue by 6 PM to vote even if the polling goes on till midnight. Medak and Nalgonda witness highest percentage of voting while Ranga Reddy recorded the lowest voter turnout. Initial reports of election trends suggest that the newly formed state may be heading towards a hung.
This is the first time Telugu people giving a confused mandate if it takes place. On the other side, despite Election Commission’s best efforts to ensure voting.
