Hyderabad Metro Actual Demand Only After JoyridesHyderabad Metro Rail had witnessed Two Lakh Plus Commuters for three days in the first five days of its commercial roll-out. Approximately Four Lakh People undertook Metro Journeys in the first weekend and the turn-out already crossed 10 Lakh.

However, the success of the Metro cannot be decided at least for 3-4 weeks, the experts say. since most of the commuters so far are the ‘holiday crowd’ who wanted to get a taste of Metro. “These are not regular passengers, but merely the holiday crowd,” L&T Officials said.

Trains are being run at a frequency of seven minutes between Miyapur-Ameerpet (13 km) and 15 minutes between Ameerpet-Nagole. In future, the frequency would be increased to even two minutes and even 90 seconds, depending on the demand. They will arrive at the actual demand only after the joyrides are complete.
