Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao is keen on winning Huzurabad by-election and finishing his former colleague, Etela Rajender’s political career. TRS is going all out to woo the Dalit voters in Huzurabad. It has brought the Dalit Bandhu scheme giving 10 Lakh to each Dalit family.
There are 21,000 beneficiaries only in the constituency. The Government had already released 2,100 Crore Rupees for Dalit Bandhu in this constituency. But BJP’s internal survey says that its candidate, Etela will be winning the election comprehensively.
Their survey says BJP is getting 52-54% Votes while TRS will get 38-40%. BJP is riding high on the BC and Youth Votes besides 30% of the Reddy Voters (Mainly Youth). TRS is sweeping Dalit Votes and other Upper Castes along with remaining 60% Reddy. Dalit Bandhu has worked for KCR but will be still not enough for the party to cross the line.
Since there is time for the election, the result can change. But if TRS fails to win this election even after spending so much money, it will be a big trouble politically.
