Hundreds of Bheemla Theaters Shut Down VoluntarilyIn what can be termed as a gross misuse of power, Jagan Mohan Reddy‘s Government is trying to intimidate the theater owners of Bheemla Nayak with official machinery. They are forcing the theaters to sell ticket prices in accordance with G.O. 35 which is already struck down by the high court.

Police and Revenue officials have been deployed at many theaters to ensure strict compliance. As a result, 100s of theaters mainly in C and D centers have shut down today as they can not even recover maintenance charges with pricing limitations of as low as ₹20.

The last time such a thing has happened is for Shyam Singha Roy when Nani called out the Government’s attitude on this issue. The same government has delayed the Night curfew and 50% occupancy for Nagarjuna‘s Bangarraju. Even films like DJ Tillu were also given prices relaxation.

For the sake of politics and settling personal scores, an industry and an ecosystem are put through a severe crisis.
