It has become a habit for the Jagan Government to send JCBs to TDP leaders and their properties when the Government is in some sort of trouble.
Chandrababu Naidu is crisscrossing the state in the name of district tours and huge crowds are attending these roadshows. The mishaps at Kandukur and Guntur will put an end to the crowds, the Government thought.
But it is not happening. The Kavali tour after the Kandukur incident and Kuppam tour after the Guntur incident have witnessed huge crowds.
Huge crowds for Opposition are often perceived as an anti-incumbency wave.
To divert public attention, the Government sent JCBs to the GITAM campus in Vishakapatnam. Balakrishna’s son-in-law, Bharat is the Chairman of GITAM.
The revenue department has fenced a part of the GITAM medical college ground in the name of encroachments.
It is interesting to note that the issue is in the court and a status quo has been ordered. The officials will be in trouble as it amounts to contempt of the court.
But then, under Jagan’s rule, it has become quite common to obey the Government and later get reprimanded by the court.
