YSR Congress has meticulously planned to win Chandrababu Naidu‘s Kuppam. After winning the Municipality, the party has planned big time to tarnish the image of Chandrababu Naidu at the national level. But then, it has backfired unexpectedly.
Kuppam Municipality loss did not have many takers in the National media as they are much aware of what has happened in the election through social media. The bad press has come to Jagan Mohan Reddy instead. There was an extensive coverage in the National media about how Naidu broke down emotionally after the abuses in the Assembly.
The hashtag #ChandrababuNaidu was trending nationally all day on social media due to this. The entire nation has come to know the situations prevailing in Andhra Pradesh. This is something totally unexpected and has come as a huge embarrassment for Jagan Mohan Reddy.
But then, Jagan has himself to blame in this fiasco. The Chief Minister has started mocking Chandrababu Naidu right from the BAC meeting showing eagerness to mock the latter for Kuppam loss. The other party MLAs and Ministers have got emboldened as a result and competed with each other in making cheap comments.
Jagan further encouraged them by cheering those cheap comments with smiles. This bad press in the National media is the price he has to pay for his own and his party members’ behavior.
