The other day, Hyderabad High Court had issued a Stay on the Swiss Challenge method adopted by the State government for the development of 6.84 square km start-up area in Amaravati capital city on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. Two Companies – Aditya Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation and NVN Engineers Pvt Ltd have filed two separate petitions to get this verdict from the high court.
The background of these companies is interesting as revealed by Twitterati. Firstly, both of them do not have the experience to handle a project of such magnitude. Coming to the other things, NVN Engineers Pvt Ltd was formed in May this year with an investment of just 10 Lakhs and is yet to dig a pit forget about constructing a capital. The company seems to be floated just for the purposing of filing this case.
Aditya Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation, the other company has Thota Chandrasekhar Rao and his family as the directors. Thota Chandrasekhar unsuccessfully contested the Lok Sabha seat from Guntur in 2009 on PRP ticket. He joined YSR Congress before the last elections and contested for Eluru Parliament.
He lost then as well. Even though, Thota is politically inactive after the elections. He seems to be extending his services to the party like this. This may reiterate the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s allegations that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his YSR Congress Party trying to stop the capital and development of the state, political observers opine.
