Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan in Vijayawada and complained about the change of name of Health University. Later, Chandrababu spoke to the media.
“NTR is the person in the hearts of Telugu people. He left a special mark in the fields of cinema and politics. He is a creator and history will remember him for the decisions he took for future generations. He contributed a lot to the development of the medical field,” Chandrababu said.
“NIMS in Hyderabad was given autonomy. Kakarla Subbarao was appointed as its director. Health University was established to bring all the medical colleges under one umbrella. In 1998, when I was the CM, we named the Health University after NTR in accordance with his services to the field of medicine,” he told.
“I have never seen a CM say so many lies in the assembly. There is no comparison between NTR and YSR. How is YSR great than NTR? Have some shame. If you are capable, build a new medical college and health university and name it after YSR,” Naidu added.
“Health University name change bill is unethical. We have asked the governor to reject this. This is an insult to the entire Telugu race. We will take this matter to the national level. We will fight until health university is named after NTR,” the TDP supremo told.
