Congress High Command is doing its level best to bring back Former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh, Kiran Kumar Reddy to the party. Former Union Minister Pallam Raju and Rajya Sabha MP Subba Rami Reddy have held talks with him.
There are reports that Rahul Gandhi also talked to him and gave him specific assurances. Subba Rami Reddy talking to media went on to say the Congress needs Kiran’s services at the National Level. This comment has raised the eyebrows.
Kiran Kumar Reddy is never a Mass Leader and influence is concentrated only in his Pileru constituency. Due to the same reason, he could not control the party leaders in AP and Telangana during the bifurcation and lost badly in both the states.
Many believe that his elevation in the party will do no good at this juncture. Kiran defied the party back then and also floated a new party. Elevating him now will also send wrong signals to whoever leaders remained in the party even after the bifurcation.
