Chandrababu Naidu had drifted away from NDA after the latter went back on all the promises made to Andhra Pradesh. However, the rivalry between Naidu and Modi became worse. Chandrababu sided with Congress ever since the Telangana Election and went after Modi as if he is his bitter rival.
The issue very soon blew into a battle of ego that Chandrababu even went to the other states to campaign against BJP. Things have changed topsy turvy after the results, Naidu lost and BJP came back to Power. Modi and Shah are baying for Chandrababu’s blood. Then came the Jammu and Kashmir issue, Congress shot in its foot by opposing the Government’s move.
The entire nation is supporting Narendra Modi Government in abrogation of Article 370 and Congress is opposing the move suspecting this will reap dividends for the ruling party but posed itself as anti-national with the move. Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu had extended his complete support to the move in the larger interests of the country.
Chandrababu Naidu who is known for his political acumen would be left wondering how he believed this Congress to win a sizeable number of seats in the recent elections and he would be able to stitch at least a Kichidi Government to bring down Narendra Modi.
