Hitech entry passes for MahanaduIn a first of its kind system for any political party in the country, Telugu Desam Party is introducing biometric authentication for the party leaders who will be attending the annual Mahanadu at Gandipet on May 27-29. All the TDP top brass and nearly 30,000 delegates from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are expected for the meeting.

TDP had already issued biometric ID cards which are linked and verified with the Aadhaar cards during its membership drive. All those attending the meeting, right from chief minister Chandrababu Naidu to all ministers and party leaders will have to swipe their identity cards at the entrance of the Mahanadu to get admit.

The swiping machine at the entrance will record every one’s entry and exit and can display the total attendance on each of the three days. However, the delegates will still have to pay the usual 100 Rupees fee since food and water is served. Nara Lokesh who just returned from a US trip, had started monitoring the arrangements
