High Tension in Amaravati as Police Try to Arrest WomenEver since Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hinted about the possibility of three capitals, the farmers who have given lands for Amaravati are in panic mode and have hit roads demanding the rollback of the decision. After 16 days of protests, farmers have called for a Sakala Janula Samme from today.

Except for essential services like Hospitals, Pharmacies, and Milk Supply, all the other establishments were closed. Police have decided to crush the protest with an iron fist. A huge contingent of police descended in Mandadam village and tried to arrest the protesting forests.

Even the women were not spared and several women were stuffed in a van forcibly. Several women sustained injuries and the police van even ran on the hand of a farmer. Some women accused that Police strangled their necks. After the numbers of the farmers swell and the situation going out of the hand, Police let the women go.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy speaking at an event in Eluru indirectly reiterated his Government’s stance to trifurcate the capital.
