Chandrababu home in amaravathiAndhra Pradesh government is keen on constructing high-rise buildings close to the Krishna river bed and the sea coast in Amaravati with structures rising up to at least 60 storeys. The state government asked the Singapore team to provide a liberal floor-space index ratio in the core capital area so that the skyscrapers can come up.

The government will have to relax some existing rules in the state to accommodate these buildings. The state government had toiled hard to collect land for the capital and wants to make full use of it with these high-rise buildings which provide more office space.

According to sources, the high-rise buildings coming up in Amarvati will at least have 60 floors. In fact, the Smart Government Complex which will house the secretariat, high court and other important buildings, will comprise 60 storeys.
