High Power Committee Formed to Decide the Fate of AmaravatiAndhra Pradesh Government has formed the High-Power Committee to study the report of the GN Rao Committee and the report of Boston Consulting Group which will arrive on January 3rd. Ministers – Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, Subash Chandrabose, Botsa Satyanarayana, Gautham Reddy, Kannababu, Sucharitha, Mopidevi Venkataramana, Kodali Nani, Perni Nani are part of this committee.

The Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister, DGP, CCLA, and Secretaries in the Municipal Department will also be a part. Chief Secretary, Neelam Sahani will be the convenor of this committee and they are asked to give a report in three weeks.

It is interesting to note that Four Ministers from Krishna and Guntur districts were given a place in the committee. These two districts are most impacted by the Government’s decision to change the Capital from Amaravati. Once the committee report is out, it will be placed in the State Assembly.

The entire exercise may be completed in the third week of January and a Special Assembly Session may be convened to ratify the Government’s decision of Three Capitals.
