Jagan AP High Court
Jagan Government shocked Telugu Desam MP Galla Jayadev’s family-owned Amara Raja Batteries Company by ordering the shutdown of all its manufacturing plants in the Chittoor district. The orders were challenged by the company in the High Court.

The company was granted relief on Thursday. The AP High Court has suspended orders issued by the PCB to close the company. It also directed the Government to restore power immediately to the company. The High Court ordered the company to comply with the instructions of the PCB regarding pollution control by June 17.

On the other hand, the High Court also directed the PCB to file the report again. The High Court posted the next hearing of the case to June 28. Amara Raja is one of the oldest and biggest investments that have come to Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, it is a nationally reputed brand.

Ordering closure of such an industry has sent bad signals to the investors. “It’s good that high court has halted this vendetta politics of Jagan Government. If the Government had its way, it would have dented the image of Andhra Pradesh very badly in the investors,” TDP said after the judgment.
