High Court of Andhra PradeshGiven the craze and demand for a place in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board, YSR Congress Government has come up with an idea to have a jumbo team of ‘Special Invitees’ accommodating everyone. This is in addition to the members in the TTD Board.

Now, the state high court has imposed stay on the G.O. of the special invitees. The High Court issued interim orders suspending the government order. Three petitions have been filed in the High Court challenging the appointment of a large number of special invitees.

The petitioners alleged that the board members were appointed against the rules, which would cause inconvenience to the common devotees. The petitioners also informed the court that this infringes TTD’s autonomy. The court was told by counsel for the government that the appointments were made in accordance with the regulations.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the High Court issued orders suspending the recruitment of special invitees. Let us see how the Government will deal with this issue now.
