KCR-TV9-abn

Andhra Pradesh High Court was serious on the banning of TV9 and ABN Andhra Jyothy channels in Telangana region. It is known that the channels were banned by the MSOs of the region after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao slammed them in Assembly for airing derogatory news on the region. Andhra Jyothy had taken the issue to the concerned officials, central government and the governor but the ban is still in place. So Andhra Jyothy management filed a complaint regarding it in the high court.

The court was very serious regarding the ban and asked Hyderabad Commissioners and Collectors of Telangana districts to look in to ABN’s petition. The court also issued notices to MSOs Association, MSOs Association President Subash Reddy and the Central government regarding the issue. The next hearing of the case was posted to July 3rd. Experts say MSOs are not authorized to ban the telecast of any channel and with the interference of the courts, the channels telecast will be restored very soon.
