High Court Rejects Sai Pallavi's PleaOn Thursday, the Telangana High Court rejected the petition filed by actress Sai Pallavi in the case of controversial remarks. Bajrang Dal leaders complained to the Sultan Bazar police in Hyderabad that Sai Pallavi had made controversial comments against the cow vigilantes along with the movie Kashmir Files.

During the promotions of Virata Parvam, Sai Pallavi had made brow-raising comments about the Kashmiri Pandit exodus shown in the movie The Kashmir Files and cow vigilantism.

She had said that the movie The Kashmir Files showed how Kashmiri Pandits were killed during the 90s. Many recent incidents happened where a Muslim driver transporting cows was beaten up and forced to chant Jai Shri Ram. She said there’s no difference between these two incidents.

Bajrang Dal leaders took offense and filed a police complaint against actor Sai Pallavi over her controversial remarks.

After taking legal advice, the police registered a case against her. Notices were issued on the 21st of last month. Sai Pallavi approached the High Court seeking cancellation of those notices. However, the High Court rejected Sai Pallavi’s request and dismissed her petition.

Sai Pallavi didn’t say anything that was fake or wrong, and it’s unfortunate that she has to face a legal battle because of these remarks.
