High Court Refuses To Stop Telangana ElectionsHyderabad High Court struck down a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed against the dissolution of Telangana Assembly. The High Court clarified that it can not interfere unless there is a Constitutional Violation or violation of any law.

The court also clarified that the ball is now in the Election Commission of India’s court to ensure free and fair elections, according to the rules and past precedents. The complainant asked the court to stop Election Commission from issuing the Notification for the elections.

This is the first PIL filed against Telangana Assembly Dissolution. On the other side, the Election Commission is progressing at a brisk pace to ensure the elections are held at the earliest. Some say the elections may happen even before the three states.
