High Court issues notice to Center
Andhra Pradesh High Court issued notices to Home Ministry and Central Government on state bifurcation process. An advocate, Krishnaiah filed a petition in the High court that division of Andhra Pradesh is a constitutional violation and could not do it using Article 3 of Indian Constitution. High Court after hearing to the applicant issued notices to Central Government asking to respond on this issue in three weeks.

This is the first time courts interfering in State bifurcation issue. Earlier Supreme court on several occasions rejected the petitions filed by various leaders of Seema Andhra saying that it is not right time to intervene. Supreme Court gave them a provision of coming back at the right time. On the other side, discussion on Telangana Bill began a short while ago in Lok Sabha.
