High Court Gives Favourable Ruling to Naidu in Security CaseIt is known that Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu knocked the door of the High Court seeking the direction to the High Court to restore the full security cover that was given to him as the Opposition Leader in 2014. The High Court has given a favorable ruling to the Opposition Leader.

The Government informed the court that Chandrababu Naidu as a former Chief Minister is entitled only for 58 Security Personnel but the state government is currently providing 74 of them. However, the court has asked the government to continue Chandrababu’s Security with 97 Security Personnel.

The Court ordered the Government to continue one Chief Security Officer and also asked to install a Jammer in Chandrababu Naidu’s Convoy. The court also instructed the government to decide on whom to handle the security in the former CM’s Close Protection team only after the discussion with NSG and ISW.

Chandrababu Naidu is on the hit list of the Naxals. He survived a Landmine attack in 2003. Since then, he is being provided with Z Plus Category Security. YSR Congress downgraded his security immediately after coming to Power. Legal experts say that Chandrababu’s Security is equivalent to that usually provided to a former Chief Minister but is less when we consider the threat he has.
