High Court Directs Government Not To Shift Offices to VishakapatnamIn what can be termed as another jolt to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Government, Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the Government not to shift offices to Visakhapatnam until they dispose of all the petitions. Hearing petitions field on repealing the CRDA ACT and shifting of Secretariat as part of three capital, the court made serious statements.

Advocate General Sriram Subrahmanyam informed the court that the Bills were passed in the Assembly and were sent to the Select Committee by the Council. Chief Justice JK Maheshwari opined that hearing to the bills at this stage will be premature.

However, the Petition said that the Government will silently shift all the offices if the courts do not intervene. Accordingly, the Chief Justice instructed the Government not to shift the offices until the court proceedings in the case are completed.

“In case, the Government defies our order, the Government will have to take the responsibility of the consequences,” the Chief Justice warned. He posted the next hearing of the case to February 26th.
