Hyderabad High Court earlier allowed YSR Congress Mangalagiri MLA, Alla Rama Krishna Reddy to pay 5 Crore Extra to Sadavarthi Lands and take them home. Rama Krishna Reddy paid the 27.44 Crore as the High Court asked for. But then, the Original Bidder objected to this saying that this will set a wrong precedent as in every auction some one will go to court and pocket those by paying something extra.
High Court seems to have agreed with that and now asked the government to go for a fresh auction with Rama Krishna Reddy’s Price as the base price. If the lands did not get a better price, they will go to the YSR Congress MLA. The endowments department had conducted a public auction of 83.11 acres land in Talamburu village in Tamil Nadu belonging to Sadavarti choultry on March 28.
The property would be sold on the as-is-where-is basis and that there would be no registration of the property. Only a sale certificate would be issued transferring the choultry’s rights. The successful bidder has to secure a patta from Tamil Nadu government through his own efforts and get encroachers removed at his own costs.
