The Karnataka election results are to be released today. The counting in some of the constituencies has been closed and the results are out. Here’s the story of young film hero Nikhil Kumaraswamy who lost in the election.
For the unversed, Nikhil Kumaraswamy is the son of the former chief minister of Karantaka, HD Kumaraswamy. He acted in a film titled Jaguar which was given a wide release back then.
Nikhil is active in politics and has tested his luck in the Karnataka elections this term. He contested from Ramanagara constituency which is regarded as a bastion of the Kumaraswamy family.
However, Nikhil faced a big defeat in the Ramanagara constituency which is otherwise a stronghold of JDS.
Nikhil was defeated by Congress’s Iqbal who polled 72000+ votes while Nikhil polled around 61,000 votes. This defeat has come as a shocking one for the JDS troops. Incidentally, Nilhil had previously lost from Mandya parliamentary constiteuncy in 2019. This is his second defeat in politics.
