Pandalaneni Srimannarayana who wants to stall Amaravati dreamHere is the man, Pandalaneni Srimannarayana who is trying to stall the capital dream of AP people by filing petitions with National Green Tribunal. Srimannarayana is a 72-year-old retired journalist and political analyst who managed to get the stay from the tribunal last month. He first filed PIL with Supreme court but when court declined to entertain him he went to Green Tribunal.

He calls the National Green Tribunal’s on construction activity of Amaravati, and directed the state not to bulldoze agricultural fields or clear the land in the area, as his major success in the case. He is gearing up to file one more petition on AP government going about with the Foundation ceremony despite the stay.

The issue will come up to hearing at NGT on Thursday. Srimannarayana says he is not against AP’s capital but is against the idea of having it in Multi Crop fertile land and in the area which falls in Seismic Zone III Earthquake prone zone. He claims that he has no affiliation to any political party.
