Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad was a close-aid of Late NT Ramarao. Later he got into a tussle with Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan Mohan Reddy used several people against Chandrababu in the name of intellectuals between 2014 and 2019.
Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad also waged a battle against Chandrababu and played a part in bringing Jagan to power.
Later he was rewarded with the nomination post in Jagan’s rule. He was made the Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission Chairman.
Being a close associate of NT Ramarao, Jagan’s decision to change the name of NTR Health University has come as a trouble for Yarlagadda.
He stepped down as the Andhra Pradesh Official Language Commission Chairman in protest to the decision of Jagan Mohan Reddy. The decision of Jagan had given rise to huge political debates and criticism.
There are doubts if Jagan Mohan Reddy did this intentionally to divert something.
