Telangana Finance Minister, Harish Rao was given the additional charge of the Health Ministry. After Eatala Rajender was ousted, CM KCR held the health portfolio up until now. Orders were issued on Tuesday giving Harish Rao an additional charge.
Political analysts say that CM KCR has become cautious after the Huzurabad By-election defeat and this is a way to keep Harish Rao happy. And then, there are people who think Harish Rao should be cautious. They remind us how Health is a risky portfolio under KCR’s rule.
The first Health Minister of Telangana, T. Rajaiah was ousted from KCR’s cabinet. The next Health Minister Lakshma Reddy was not reappointed even after winning the 2018 elections with a huge majority. Most recently, Eatala Rajender who held the ministry during the Pandemic was shunted out of the Government and also from TRS.
People on social media are seen warning Harish Rao to be careful after this additional charge.
