Nandamuri Harikrishna's Radical Reforms As The Then Transport MinisterCine Actor and Former Rajya Sabha MP Harikrishna passed away early this morning near Nalgonda in a Road Accident. He is currently the Polit Buro member of the Telugu Desam Party and he has made a unique mark on politics in his own way.

He has the distinction of riding NTR’s Chaitanya Radham for over 75000 Kilometers when he floated the party. He is the MLA in the United Andhra Pradesh between 1996 and 1999. He served Andhra Pradesh as the Transport Minister during that period. He has taken up some unique reforms during this Period.

He canceled Road Tax for Tractors to help agriculture. He also allowed the employment of Women Conductors in APSRTC which was a revolutionary step. He was nominated to Rajya Sabha from TDP in 2008 and resigned in 2013 as a mark of protest against the State Bifurcation.
