Hard Work That Went in Bringing KIA Motors to Andhra PradeshAndhra Pradesh Government the other day has entered into a Landmark MOU with Kia Motors, the fifth biggest Automobile manufacturer in the World. The South Korea-based company selected AP as its home for its first ever plant in India and will be making a whopping 10000 Crore investment and will provide 10000 Employment Opportunities.

Chandrababu government managed to get it competing with several other states. Andhra Pradesh government has formed a Special Team to negotiate with Kia Motors and convince them to ground the project in AP. Over 630 emails were exchanged and Kia team took up multiple site visits. The entire follow-ups were done in utmost secrecy.

Numerous Conference calls and months of hard work ensured that the deal is clinched. The plant will come up near Erramanchi Village of Anantapur in 600 acres. Close Proximity to Chennai and Port and access to water from Gollapalli Reservoir helped the project come to AP.
