A cold war is brewing between Guntur East MLA Mustafa and Deputy Mayor Sazeela. YSR Congress Guntur Senior leader Sheikh Shoukat made his daughter Sazeela as Deputy Mayor of Guntur Corporation in Deputy Mayor-2 elections.
Sazeela is actively participating in all Government and Party programs and is congregating support.
MLA Mustafa became wary and pushed his daughter, Noori Fatima as his heir. He took her to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and also had her talk in the party Plenary.
Mustafa even had a tussle with the Deputy Mayor in the Plenary. To which Shoukath responded with a furry of abuses.
Mustafa is also accused of ignoring the leaders who worked in the Opposition and giving prominence to Jump Jilanis in corporation elections and nominated posts.
This group politics is damaging the party prospects in Guntur East constituency. YSR Congress won the constituency with a whopping 22K votes margin in 2019 elections.
