The State Government has taken damage control measures after the news about Painting YSR Congress Colours on Indian Flag went viral. The Government has suspended the Panchayat Secretary, R Prakash of Thammadepalli Gram Panchayat office building where the controversial incident took place.
The Local Leaders were instructed to Whitewash the Building on a war footing and it is already completed. However, suspending the Panchayat Secretary is inhumane as he is just obeying the orders of the Government. YSR Congress ever since it came to power ordered painting all Panchayat Buildings in YSR Congress Colours.
On the other hand, Government Chief Whip, Gadikota Srikanth Reddy said to media that the Government only ordered using Uniform Colours on all Panchayat Buildings. “The Colours used on the Buildings are not the colours of YSR Congress. The Government will investigate what went wrong in this case,” he said.
The incident garnered bad press for Jagan Government even in the National Media. It has to be seen if these damage control measures can really work.
