YSR Congress Government has dropped the idea of asking Village Volunteers to use Push Carts or Rickshaws for the Delivery of Ration to all the 50 households under each of them. This has become very controversial and there are numerous memes in the Social Media mocking the idea.
Taking the feedback, the State Government has dropped the idea now. Instead, the government has decided to give every volunteer extra 500 Rupees for the transportation of the Ration to the houses. They will engage autos and mini-trucks to transport the Ration items.
All the district collectors are asked to engage autos and mini-trucks on a regular basis for Transportation to become cost-effective. The village volunteers will door-deliver the ration by capturing the biometrics of the beneficiaries.
Village Volunteers have joined their duties from August 15th and their first Ration Delivery will happen between September 1st to 5th.
