YS Jagan - Sekhar - Reddy - TTDSekhar Reddy who was accused by YSR Congress as Chandrababu’s Binami was brought back by Jagan’s Government as the Special Invitee to the TTD Board. Sekhar Reddy is a sand mining baron who was arrested for being in possession of huge amounts of new Rs 2,000 notes post-demonetization during I-T raids.

He was TTD Board member that time and YSR Congress made several allegations on TDP using him. So his appointment came as a total surprise. And the Government is being criticized for this move. Endowments Minister, Vellampalli Srinivas explained the rationale behind this move.

“The Chairmen of Advisory Committees of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temples of Other States will be appointed as Special Invitees. Even the previous Government did that. He is the Chairman of Chennai Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple and so appointed as Special Invitee. There is no Government Role in picking him,” Vellampalli said.

Jagan Government made several changes to the rules of TDP Rule including amending the TTD Act to accommodate more members in the Board. How could the Government not make another rule to avoid Sekhar Reddy who was accused by themselves in the past? questions TDP cadre.
