TDP Senior leader Varla Ramaiah has applied to the State DGP regarding the Permission for Nara Lokesh‘s Yuva Galam Padayatra. The department is sitting on the application expecting a positive response on the G.O. No.1 in the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court had sent the Government back to the High Court and an adverse judgement is likely on cards. In the previous hearing, the high court termed the G.O. as something oppressive as in the British government’s days.
So unable to delay further, DGP Kasireddy sent back the application asking for clarifications.
The DGP wants the entire routemap for 400 days. The department also wants details like how many people will participate, the details of the vehicles used, night halt places, etc.
TDP has replied that it is not possible and the routemap will be finalized only four days before entering every district.
The information the Government sought is laughable. These details are not anyone can give. It is a Padayatra for over an year and no one can say things like how many people will participate.
Jagan previously did Odarpu Yatra and Padayatra and he never followed any of these processes. Back then, YSRCP leaders used to say permissions are not required.
The Government if tries to trouble Lokesh it will only showcase it as weak and worried about the Padayatra.
It looks like the sentiment of leaders doing Padayatra coming to power is worrying Jagan Mohan Reddy.
