Narendra Modi led Central government is working on the lines of giving special privileges to Governor over the Common Capital, Hyderabad. Modi government is planning to make changes according to Section 8 of Andhra Reorganizational bill-2013 which gives special rights to the governor. Accordingly, both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments will have a say in protecting the law and order in the capital.
According to the new rule, Appointment and transfers of Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Commissioners, Ranga Reddy SPs will be looked after by the governor with opinions of both the state governments. Also ‘Joint Police Force’ will be formed.It is told that Center has got reports that TRS government is targeting settlers in Hyderabad. Governor Narasimhan and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu recently wrote letters to the Center to give special privileges to the governor.
Accordingly, Center has written a letter to Telangana government and asked to voice its opinon. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao explained the contents and motive of the letter to MPs and asked them to oppose this move in Parliament. Telangana government is also preparing a strong reply to Center’s letter.
