Government-made Disaster Upsets Industry?Union Government had relaxed rules to allow manufacturing and construction work in the third phase of Lockdown from May 4th. There are different sets of guidelines for Green, Orange, and Red Zones to curb any chances of the virus spread. While this move is expected to boost the economy, the Government had faltered in execution.

The Government is running trains between various states to move the stranded migrants. As a result, even though allowed, manufacturing and construction are unlikely to resume due to labor crunch. The migrant workers who left for their native places unlikely to return any sooner which means a huge disruption for the industry.

Sadly, this is a Government-made disaster. Industry in this time of crunch can not afford to employ the locals and train them. That will amount to more unnecessary spending and loss in time. Workers who have gone to their states will struggle further due to unemployment in the coming months.

The total number of Coronavirus cases in the country is around 40,000 already.
