YSR Congress Nagiri MLA Roja is often termed as an Iron Leg because TDP and YSR Congress now lost the elections when Roja is in the fray. The Iron Leg stamp intensified further when Roja campaigned for YSR Congress in Nandhyal By-Election and Kakinada Municipal Election and the party lost.
In an interview, Roja fumed at the mention of Iron Leg. “I am successful women, Successful actress, successful housewife, successful mother, successful politician. I am not Iron Leg but a Golden Leg,” the Nagiri MLA said.
“I campaigned in Naxal inflicted areas where leaders used to fear to go in 1999. Chandrababu became the Chief Minister then. How can someone call me an Iron Leg?,” Roja said. She also went on to say there are offers for her from TDP even today.
