Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram had made a humiliating statement on Amaravati. Supporting YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Three Capitals Formula, Tammineni went on to sey that going to the Capital feels like going into a desert in Rajasthan.
“People should own capital like theirs’s but I do not see that in the case of Amaravati. People are welcoming the Three Capitals idea and those who are criticizing should learn the facts. The Government should definitely take action on the allegations of Insider Trading,” he said.
A few people in the Social Media are fuming at these comments. “The Speaker talks everything rubbish and later hides under the constitutional power. If someone gives a retort to him, Privilege motions are moved and cases are filed. Its high time he lives up to the stature of a Speaker,” they comment.
Meanwhile, Amaravati is on a boil ever since the announcement came. Farmers who have given their lands have come on roads demanding that the Three-Capitals proposal should be withdrawn.
