Amaravati Global Telecom playersGlobal Telecom players including Reliance, Airtel, Idea, Vodafone and Singapore’s Singtel are in talks with the state government to grab the upcoming business opportunities. They are eyeing huge business to bag possible service contracts, which are meant to support government departments and programmes.

Since the state government is determined to move the administration as soon as possible from Hyderabad to Amaravati and the government departments there require services such as high-end tele-conferencing, interactive programmes, back-end services for multi-point public address and big data.

So these Telecos are in talks with the government to bag these big contracts. Reliance through its 20 MBPS-free public WiFi on the 3.5 km upmarket Mahatma Gandhi Road in the base capital Vijayawada and State owned BSNL with its installed 17 free 5G hotspots for public WiFi service at the Pundit Nehru Bus Station in Vijaywada are trying to impress the Chief Minister.
