The Election Commission of India has finally allocated a common symbol for Pawan Kalyan’s janasena party. The party gets ‘Glass Tumbler’ as common symbol whenever it contests in both Telugu States. This allotment has brought joy to Pawan Kalyan fans and the party supporters. For a long time Pawan Kalyan has been using the red towel and the tea glass as a symbolism that he is closer to the common people so glass tumbler serves the purpose.
Back then when Praja Rajyam party contested the 2019 elections, it has got train symbol but then the party voters used to confused with road roller symbol of the Independents. The party believes it has done a lot of damage for its prospects. Later Praja Rajyam Party approached EC and got their symbol changed to Sun.
But it got merged into Congress before contesting any election with the symbol. So Janasena supporters are being extra cautious due to the resemblance between glass tumbler and other Election Commission symbols like bucket, shuttlecock etc. They are campaigning already to bring it to the notice of the public.
But then such campaigns will only add to the confusion so it is better that janasena party should approach the Election Commission or the court to ensure that such confusing symbols are not allotted to any independents. Pawan Kalyan is currently in Europe on a family Holiday when this key announcement came in.
