kcr started telangana swachh bharath Telangana government had launched Swachh Hyderabad program from May 16th to May 20thand is spending a whopping 200 Crore for making Hyderabad clean and green. Every one from the Governor, Chief Minister to common people are involved in this program.

However GHMC is in utter confusion regarding how to dispose the nearly 20,000 metric tonnes (MT) of debris is expected to be removed from the streets in addition to about 3,800 MT of garbage generated on any given day. The corporation is expecting that 400 mini vehicles, 500 six-metric tonne capacity tippers, 70 major vehicles and 50 JCBs apart from the existing 400 vehicles were need for the garbage removal. But the GHMC could not at least procure half of them.

Nearly 3,800 MT of garbage is generated in the city but with limited sanitation staff, drivers and vehicle problems, only 3,200 to 3,400 MT is being transported to the Jawaharnagar dump yard every day. So, GHMC is planning to shift the garbage to temporary transit stations that will be later taken to the dump yard at Jawaharnagar.
