Galla Jayadev won as Guntur MP for the second time even in the Jagan wave. Jayadev used to play a very active role against the tyranny of the Central Government before the 2019 elections.
After coming to power, we have seen the Jagan government troubling Jayadev’s Amara Raja factory. The government tried to get it close in the name of pollution. Jayadev had to fight in the courts to save the industry.
He is cautiously moving his new investments to Telangana to avoid Jagan’s harassment.
Meanwhile, Jayadev has become inactive in TDP for the last 2-3 years as if to remain in the good books of Jagan. He was neither seen in the party meetings nor speaking like an opposition party leader.
But then, every now and then, we can see the pictures of Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh in his tweets. The last one is a poster of NTR centenary celebrations earlier this week. The poster has small pics of Chandrababu Naidu, Atchennaidu, and Lokesh.
Incidentally, Jayadev skipped attending Mahanadu in Rajamahendravaram. Elections in Andhra Pradesh are less than a year away. If Jagan opts for an early election, the time is almost not there.
It’s high time Jayadev makes a call about his political future. Also, Guntur Parliament is a key seat and TDP can not waste its time waiting for Jayadev’s final decision.
