Gali Janardhan Reddy Return Gift Sounds Like a Joke - Saplings Two Recycle Green BagsEx-BJP Minister and mining baron Janardhan Reddy made headlines a while ago for his extravagant invites to his daughter’s wedding. Now if the invites were extravagant, the wedding was just over the top, to say the least. Since Reddy couldn’t hold the wedding there, the former minister recreated the Tirumala Tirupati temple in Bengaluru’s Palace Grounds for daughter, Bramhani’s wedding.

There was a ten-foot high idol of Lord Balaji, seven doors leading to the mandap, and artificial elephants at the main gate to welcome the guests. Adding to the opulence was a Rolls Royce decorated with orchids. The wedding catered to over 10,000 people, most of them famous actors, singers, ministers, etc.

But that’s not all. The most unbelievable part was the return gift. The Wednesday afternoon saw guests leaving the ceremony with green paper bags in hand. These recyclable bags held two saplings and featured Janardhan Reddy and business partner BJP MLA Sriramalu on either sides and felt more like an inside joke for Reddy and family, after his irreparable misuse of the natural resources.
